Programme

Students will sit for the placement test to join one of the following study pathways:
Cambridge English Programme – CEP (National education programme combined with Cambridge English programme)
Cambridge Academic Programme - CAP (National education programme combined with Cambridge education programme)
Curriculum
Primary National Programme
The National Primary Curriculum is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training. With the motto "optimizing the programmes by the Ministry of Education and Training", VAS has been implementing the National Programme in the direction of reducing the workload to help students master the core knowledge of each grade and enable them to take the tests and certificates as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, and to acquire knowledge in an easy and effective way in accordance with the physical characteristics of each grade level.
The learning outcomes and qualifications are recognized and accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training and have equal validity with those in the top public schools of the national education system.
Primary Cambridge Academic Programme (CAP)
The programme is taught entirely in English and comprises of 4 subjects: Math, English, Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The programme focuses on developing language skills, knowledge of science and mathematics. The purpose is not only for students to acquire knowledge and new academic skills but also to become familiar with the methods, to consider the problems and challenges from many different perspectives to develop critical thinking.
At the end of grade 5, students sit for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint exam administered by the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) with validity of a lifetime, which enables students to transfer to English medium secondary schools worldwide.
Primary Cambridge
English Programme(CEP)
The Programme is a part of Study Pathway 2 and comprises of 2 subjects:
- English for Speakers of Other Languages by Cambridge English Language Assessment (ESOL)
- ICT (Cambridge based)
At the end of grade 5, students sit for the Cambridge English tests and are awarded with the YLE English certificates, which are equivalent to A2 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and widely recognized in the world.
