A Vibrant Opening Ceremony for the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year Across VAS System

Early in the morning, nearly 8.000 VASers returned to school and joined the vibrant atmosphere of the 2026 - 2027 Opening Ceremonies across all VAS campuses. Featuring meaningful traditional ceremonies alongside exciting cultural and sports activities, the Opening Day marked the beginning of a new school year filled with energy, excitement, and memorable experiences. 

Welcoming new journeys

All six VAS campuses came alive as they welcomed students back to school for the new academic year. For VASers entering Grade 1, Grade 6, and Grade 10, the Opening Ceremony marked an especially meaningful milestone as they officially embarked on a new chapter of their learning journey, filled with opportunities to explore, grow, and pursue their goals. 

The welcoming ceremonies for new students were held across the campuses, creating memorable moments for students, teachers, and families on this special day. 

Kicking off the school year with memorable moments 

Following the welcoming ceremonies for new students, VASers took part in the Flag-raising Ceremony and the traditional school-opening drum ceremony, officially marking the start of the 2026 - 2027 school year at VAS. 

The resounding beats of the school-opening drum marked the beginning of a new academic journey, inspiring teachers and students to look forward to a year filled with exploration, challenges, and achievements. 

Alongside these traditional ceremonies, VASers also enjoyed a variety of lively cultural performances, sports activities, and fun games. Colorful performances, energetic activities, and moments of teamwork created a joyful and connected atmosphere throughout the first day of the new school year.
