“Go Green – Live Clean”: A Journey of Growth, Connection, and Green Inspiration for VAS Grade 5 Students
In the joyful and emotional final days of their primary school years, VAS Grade 5 students across the system marked a meaningful milestone through the “Go Green – Live Clean” camping trip.
Spanning two days and one night, the trip offered much more than fun and outdoor adventure. It was a chance for students to bond with nature, strengthen friendships, develop essential life skills, and build environmental awareness.
Learning Through Nature and Culture
Throughout the journey, students immersed themselves in hands-on experiences tied to nature and tradition—harvesting ingredients and making cốm dẹp, setting up and decorating tents, creating team names and slogans, and joining a variety of exciting team games.

The highlight was the “Live Clean” workshop, where each student planted and cared for their own green pot. These small plants became powerful symbols of the students’ commitment to living sustainably and inspiring others to protect the environment.
Students also explored basic survival skills, such as first aid and fire-making using simple tools, encouraging independence, critical thinking, and confidence in facing real-life challenges.
Celebrating Friendship and Talent
As evening arrived, the school yard lit up with the warmth of a campfire and the sound of laughter. Students, teachers, and staff gathered for a cozy buffet dinner, sharing stories after a day full of energy and discovery.
The night culminated in the “Talent Show,” where students took the stage with self-choreographed, vibrant performances. This showcase was not only a celebration of creativity but also a space for students to shine, build confidence, and spread joy to everyone in attendance.
