The VAS International Summer Camp 2026 in the United Kingdom has officially come to a close after two memorable weeks. Throughout the programme, students experienced an international learning environment while immersing themselves in the culture, history, and everyday life of the UK through a wide range of engaging activities.

Exploring the fairytale-like campus of Royal Holloway 

VASers cruised along the River Thames, taking in London's breathtaking skyline at sunset, with iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the London Eye, and Tower Bridge. The journey continued with a visit to Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club, where students learned about the rich history and culture of one of England's most celebrated football clubs.

Discovering Britain's iconic landmarks and rich heritage 

Students also explored the British Museum, home to more than 8 million priceless artefacts that showcase the history and development of human civilisation. In the seaside city of Brighton, they enjoyed spectacular panoramic views from Brighton i360, 162 metres above the ground, offering a unique perspective of one of southern England's most popular coastal destinations.

Emirates Stadium - Home of the legendary Arsenal Football Club 

Beyond sightseeing, the programme provided valuable opportunities for students to connect with peers from around the world through a lively colour powder festival, cultural performances, music, team-building activities, and sports. These experiences helped strengthen their communication skills, broaden their cultural awareness, and build confidence in an international environment.

Building friendships through music, team-building activities, and sports 

As the UK journey comes to an end, every VASer returns home with much more than beautiful photographs and unforgettable memories. They bring back greater confidence, a stronger global mindset, and meaningful real-world experiences that will continue to support their academic and personal growth in the years ahead.
