Le Minh Bao

VAS student Le Minh Bao is the first and only Vietnamese student to receive the Stamps Scholarship in 2024, worth $257,912 USD (equivalent to 6.3 billion VND), from the University of Connecticut – a leading research university in the public system in the US.

Out of more than 50,000 applications from around the world, Minh Bao was one of only five students selected. This journey wasn't due to luck, but rather to the persistent efforts built during his years at VAS – where Bao developed a solid academic foundation, proactive thinking, and a spirit of constantly challenging himself.

During his time at VAS, Minh Bao made a mark with his all-around efforts:
Achieved IELTS 7.5 and SAT 1510
Completed a project: assembling a 3-degree-of-freedom robotic arm, in collaboration with lecturers and students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education
Founded the running group “The Unstoppable Feet” based on his experience running 5km–21km marathons, spreading the spirit of perseverance and discipline
Actively participated in community activities with the VAS Student Council in Tay Ninh and An Giang

More than achievements; it is  about Minh Bao learning to set goals, pursue his passions, and develop himself sustainably – in line with the educational philosophy that VAS always strives for.
