ROBOTACON FIRST LEGO League is an annual competition organized within the framework of an international playground, with support and collaboration from the Departments of Education and Training in provinces and cities across the country. It is designed for elementary and middle school students who are passionate about exploration and creativity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). By tackling real-world challenges, the competition helps students develop logical thinking, programming skills, robot design abilities, and teamwork.

This year, the competition brought together teams from various elementary and middle schools, both public and international, from across the country.  The event created a dynamic and highly competitive atmosphere, offering students a chance to showcase their skills and innovation. This was also the first time that VAS Sala students took part in this prestigious competition, embracing the opportunity to learn, experience, and enhance their knowledge. Despite being newcomers, the Sala team demonstrated strong teamwork and coordination, earning an impressive 140 points in the Robot Challenge and delivering an outstanding presentation performance. Notably, they were honored with an award for Robot Design.

The achievements at FIRST LEGO League 2025 mark not only an important milestone for Sala students but also lay the foundation for them to pursue their passion for technology and innovation in the future. The school believes that the invaluable experiences gained from this competition will serve as a strong stepping stone for students on their journey of knowledge exploration and personal growth. We look forward to seeing Sala VASers in future competitions, achieving even greater success!

At a recent online seminar hosted by the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS), education experts highlighted the importance of a “backward planning” mindset. This approach starts with the end goal and works backwards to design a suitable learning pathway from the very beginning.
