VAS student Tran Le Nhat Dang earns 100,000 SGD scholarship to Nanyang Technological University

Earning admission to Nanyang Technological University (NTU), one of the world's leading universities, is no easy feat. With highly competitive admissions standards and a rigorous selection process, NTU has long been a dream destination for outstanding students from around the globe.

Through years of careful preparation, determination, and academic excellence, VAS student Tran Le Nhat Dang successfully secured a scholarship worth 100,000 SGD, supported by an impressive record of achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Academically, Nhat Dang built an outstanding profile with:

• GPA: 9.7.
• IELTS: 8.0.
• SAT: 1500.

Beyond his academic results, he earned numerous medals and awards in prestigious national and international competitions across Mathematics, Informatics, English, and Science, including AMO, SASMO, VANDA, IMO, ASMO, Kangaroo Mathematics, and the International Commerce Olympiad.

One of his most notable accomplishments came in 2025, when he won First Prize in Southern Vietnam in the Mathematical Thinking and Algorithms category at the National Youth Informatics Competition, demonstrating exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and academic excellence.

Behind these achievements was a well-planned learning journey that began during his years at VAS. Guided by his teachers, Nhat Dang developed a comprehensive academic strategy through the Cambridge curriculum while actively participating in academic competitions at both national and international levels. These experiences allowed him to strengthen his knowledge, broaden his perspectives, and build a highly competitive university application.

His perseverance and strategic preparation ultimately earned him not only the prestigious 100,000 SGD scholarship from Nanyang Technological University, but also additional scholarships from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia and Fulbright University Vietnam.
