Transition Day at VAS: Preparing Students for a Key Milestone in Their Educational Journey

In February and March 2025, VAS organized Transition Days for students moving from Kindergarten to Primary School and from Grade 5 to Grade 6 across the entire school system.

These annual events are held at all six VAS campuses to provide parents and students with first-hand experiences of the new learning environment and to build confidence as they prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.

1. Transition Day: From Kindergarten to Grade 1

This event featured a variety of hands-on activities with primary teachers and students, offering parents a vivid impression of the academic atmosphere at the Primary level.

Parents also received updates on VAS’s improvements for the 2025-2026 academic year, helping them better support their children during this important transition.

Key experiences and activities at the event included:

  • Visiting model classrooms for the MOET and Cambridge programmes.
  • Participating in exciting enrichment lessons in Art, Music, and PE.
  • Touring modern facilities and multifunctional learning spaces.
  • Enjoying live musical performances.
  • Entering a lucky draw for special prizes.

2. Transition Day: From Grade 5 to Grade 6

The transition from Grade 5 to Grade 6 marks a pivotal milestone as students move from Primary to Secondary school.

This Transition Day gave parents and students the opportunity to interact with Secondary teachers and Student Council members, explore the Secondary learning environment, and learn about the academic and extracurricular offerings at VAS.

Key experiences and activities at the event included:

  • Exploring the academic roadmap and key qualifications in Secondary school.
  • Trial lessons in Global Perspectives, English, and Computing (Cambridge curriculum).
  • Joining exciting STEAM activities like making ice cream without a freezer, building water rockets, flying drones, and more.
  • Performing hands-on experiments such as magnetic rice, electromagnets, and “Soul of Vietnam” projects.
  • Touring modern classrooms and specialized learning spaces.
  • Enjoying dynamic performances from Secondary students.

More than just an introduction to a new learning level, these events also helped students prepare emotionally and academically while inspiring them to embrace new challenges with confidence.

GRAND FINAL VAS ROBOTICS COMPETITION 2025 – 2026: VASERS SHINE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AND KINDNESS

On April 3 at VAS Sala Campus, the final round of the VAS Robotics Competition 2025–2026 took place in an energetic atmosphere, featuring thrilling and competitive performances. This year, the competition stood out with its expanded scale and more diverse content. At the Primary level, nearly 50 VAS students and 4 guest teams formed 16 vibrant competing teams. Meanwhile, the Secondary level gathered 200 VAS students, with 70 teams competing across 9 categories, creating a dynamic and highly competitive technology arena.
