VAS CAREER TALK 2024: Conquering Careers and Achieving Your Dream University Admission

In March and April 2024, VAS will be organizing a series of events called Career Talk, as part of the Career Counselling and University Preparation Program (UCCC) offered by the school. The aim of this event is to assist VASers in Grade 11 in identifying and making the right choices regarding their desired fields of study and the universities they wish to apply to after completing Grade 12 at VAS.

The Career Talk program will span over three sessions in three days, filled with engaging and informative activities.

Career Talk Day 1: "Let’s step on the pathway”

Grade 11 is a crucial time for students to determine "what to study and where" after graduating from Grade 12 at VAS. The first session of Career Talk will provide valuable reference information to help students make informed decisions about their university destinations.

  • Main topics covered:
    • A panel discussion aims to guide students through various pathways to higher education, specifically focusing on five distinct routes, including: Vietnamese universities, international universities in Vietnam, studying abroad in North America, studying abroad in Australia/New Zealand, and studying abroad in the UK/Europe.
  • Hot lists of Career/Majors each of the five University routes
  • Applications: Requirements & deadlines
  • Scholarship Hunting: Requirements, deadlines, special tips
  • How to strengthen your application - further pieces of advice
  • Guest speakers: Representatives from reputable universities and study abroad organizations, including the Swiss Institute of Management & Sciences, Broward Vietnam University, RMIT Vietnam, IDP, E-test, as well as career counseling experts from VAS.

Following the discussion session, students will have the opportunity to participate in the University Fair featuring admissions representatives from 26 universities in the United States, Australia, and Vietnam. This will be a chance for students to meet and learn about their desired fields of study, the application process and deadlines of each university they are interested in.

Career Talk

Career Talk Session 2: "Into the majors”

  • Main topics covered:
    • Overview of the top 10 most popular college majors today.
    • In-depth sharing and Q&A sessions on specific fields of study that students are interested in, including Applied Sciences, Business Administration and related majors, Design Studies, Information Technology and Programming, Media and Communication, Psychology and related fields.
  • Guest speakers: Field-specific representatives from reputable universities and study abroad organizations such as Monash University (Australia), RMIT Vietnam, Broward Vietnam University, IDP, and E-test.
  • Date & Venue: March 20, 2024, at Sala Campus.

Career Talk

Career Talk Session 3: "Diving into campus life"

  • Main topics covered: Listening to practical insights from alumni about student life at various universities, including dormitory life, extracurricular activities, opportunities to join clubs and student councils, and more.
  • Date: April 6, 2024.
  • Format: Online event.

Career Talk is one of the activities organized by the VAS CAREER COUNSELLING AND UNIVERSITY PREPARATION CENTER (UCCC). The UCCC provides early career guidance and support for students from Grade 8 to 12, helping them not only make informed choices about their careers and suitable universities but also providing crucial information about the application process and scholarship opportunities. In addition to one-on-one counseling sessions with career experts and university visits, students also have the opportunity to meet and converse with representatives from dozens of top-notch universities both domestically and internationally.

GRAND FINAL VAS ROBOTICS COMPETITION 2025 – 2026: VASERS SHINE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AND KINDNESS

On April 3 at VAS Sala Campus, the final round of the VAS Robotics Competition 2025–2026 took place in an energetic atmosphere, featuring thrilling and competitive performances. This year, the competition stood out with its expanded scale and more diverse content. At the Primary level, nearly 50 VAS students and 4 guest teams formed 16 vibrant competing teams. Meanwhile, the Secondary level gathered 200 VAS students, with 70 teams competing across 9 categories, creating a dynamic and highly competitive technology arena.
