“VAS Changemaker Scholarship” honors students’ positive contributions to the community
VAS officially introduces the new scholarship programme "VAS Changemaker Scholarship" to honor and acknowledge the positive contributions of students to the school community and society at large.
VAS believes that the excellence of a student is not only demonstrated through academic achievements but also recognized in all other areas of talent, such as the ability to make meaningful contributions to the community and society.
Therefore, in addition to the annual "VAS Scholarship for Excellence" awarded to students with the highest academic performance in each grade level, VAS has expanded its scholarship programme this year with a new initiative called "THE CHANGEMAKER SCHOLARSHIP" specifically for students who have made significant contributions to the community.
The top 10 outstanding VASers selected and nominated by campuses will have the honor of receiving a scholarship worth 15,000,000 VND per student at the End-of-Year Ceremony for the academic year 2023-2024.
Some selection criteria for The Changemaker scholarship include:
- Proactivity and creativity in proposing initiatives to address issues within the school community or society in general.
- Demonstrating strong leadership and embracing collaboration (initiating and leading projects, organizing events, or mobilizing others for a cause).
- Impact of previous initiatives or projects on the school community or beyond.
- Potential for making continuous & significant impact to the school community or beyond in the future.
- Meeting the academic performance standards.
