VAS Conducts Professional Development Training for Cambridge Teachers System-wide Before the New Academic Year

The training week for Cambridge teachers from Early Years to Secondary levels took place with numerous in-depth training topics, focusing on curriculum updates and building effective teaching plans. Specialized sessions such as Curriculum Updates & Planning, Red Threads Brainstorming, and Wellbeing Curriculum helped teachers understand new directions while emphasizing student mental health care.

Notably, VAS collaborated with the British Council, Oxford University Press, and Cambridge to organize many specialized workshops, providing teachers with advanced teaching methodologies, the latest academic materials, and sharing excellent teaching practices from leading experts in international education.

VAS also continues to lead in educational technology applications with training courses on Digital Literacy, MS Teams, SharePoint, iPads, Smart Boards, and Data Science Essentials for AI. Particularly, teachers were guided in using AI, 3D design with OnShape, and developing interdisciplinary projects through Design Thinking Lab, aimed at encouraging creativity and enhancing classroom interaction.

In terms of professional expertise, notable training sessions such as Talk for Writing, VIPERS Reading Skills, Phonics (Primary) and Grade 11 & 12 CAPi English, AI Listening Skills, Text Analysis Skills (Secondary) helped teachers improve language teaching quality. Additionally, specialized topics on STEM Projects, Active Learning, and Exceptional Delivery shared modern, student-centered teaching methods.

Beyond focusing on professional skills, teachers were also equipped with classroom management skills and comprehensive student support through specialized topics including Effective Classroom Management, Secrets to Change Students' Behaviour, and Supporting Students with Additional Needs.
