VAS Secondary Students Explore the Art of Filmmaking with Director Võ Thanh Hòa
To equip students with essential knowledge and skills before starting the Film Adaptation Project for the 2025–2026 school year, the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) organized a specialized filmmaking workshop led by director Võ Thanh Hòa.
The workshop attracted a large number of Secondary VASers who share a passion for cinema. During the session, Director Võ Thanh Hòa introduced students to the art of filmmaking, from understanding film structure and storytelling through visuals to gaining insights from his own professional journey.
The atmosphere became even more exciting when students took on a 20-minute creative challenge to come up with new plot twists. Each group eagerly brainstormed and presented heartfelt yet humorous storylines, showcasing their creativity and teamwork.
To wrap up the workshop, Director Võ Thanh Hòa presented clapper boards, stuffed toys, and keychains as special gifts to the teams with the most creative scripts — closing a session full of inspiration and opening a new creative journey for VAS’s young filmmakers.
Stay tuned for the upcoming VAS Film Festival, where our talented VASers will showcase their own creative and captivating short films adapted from literary works!
