From 29 June to 3 July, VASers from Preschool to Secondary School embarked on another week of exciting learning adventures beyond the classroom. Carefully designed for each age group, every excursion offered students opportunities to have fun, develop essential skills, and foster a deeper appreciation for nature and culture.
Kindergarten: Fun Friday Safari Theme
Through a series of Safari-themed role-playing games, physical challenges, and interactive activities, our Preschool VASers transformed into little explorers venturing into the wild. The activities not only strengthened their physical coordination, confidence, and teamwork, but also introduced them to fascinating facts about wildlife, natural habitats, and the importance of protecting the environment.
By seamlessly integrating lessons on caring for animals and preserving nature into play, the event created an engaging learning experience where children could discover, move, and have fun at the same time.

Pre-1-2-3 Kindergarten: Discovering Nature at Suối Tiên Theme Park
Our young campers enjoyed a refreshing day splashing around at Tiên Đồng Artificial Beach, joined the "Nature Mask" workshop to learn about different types of leaves while creating their own unique masterpieces, and delighted in a captivating traditional puppet performance. They also had the opportunity to interact with the puppeteers and step into the roles of their favourite puppet characters.

Another highlight was the scenic train ride around Suối Tiên, where students explored lush green surroundings while learning about the importance of trees and water to our environment. The trip helped nurture a love for nature and encouraged environmental awareness through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
Primary: Becoming Young Artisans at Kawazo Ecological Park
Primary VASers stepped into the shoes of traditional artisans as they explored a variety of Vietnamese handicrafts, including pottery making, mat weaving, incense rolling, piggy bank sculpting, traditional pastry making, and rice harvesting. Each activity allowed students to experience the patience, craftsmanship, and dedication behind Vietnam's traditional trades that have been preserved for generations.

Students also took part in energetic outdoor challenges such as boating, balancing bridge crossings, and team-building water games. Through these experiences, they gained a deeper appreciation for the value of hard work, the dedication of farmers, and the sacrifices their parents make in everyday life.
Secondary: A tour of the Faculty of Design and Art at Hoa Sen University
A trip to the Faculty of Design and Art at Hoa Sen University offered Secondary VASers three memorable hands-on experiences.
- Art Studio and Workshop: Students explored outstanding student design projects while learning about the creative process behind them. Inspired by the exhibition, they designed and decorated their own bookends, developing both creativity and artistic thinking.

The journey continued with authentic Mekong Delta experiences. Students grilled traditional rice crackers, made bánh khọt (Vietnamese mini savoury pancakes), visited coconut candy workshops, learned how puffed rice snacks are made, and enjoyed longan blossom honey tea at a local bee farm.
They also cruised along the peaceful waterways of the Four Sacred Islets region, paddled through tranquil coconut canals in traditional sampan boats, sampled seasonal tropical fruits, and listened to the enchanting melodies of Đờn ca tài tử, the traditional folk music of Southern Vietnam.
