VASers explore the nature and culture of the “land of sand” Mũi Né – Phan Thiết

Experiential learning continues to be an essential part of the VAS journey, giving students opportunities to engage with the real world, expand their cultural understanding, develop skills, and connect with their surroundings.

During a 3-day, 2-night field trip in March, VASers explored Mũi Né – Phan Thiết, a destination known for its unique natural landscapes and rich cultural and historical values. The journey began with stories about the cultural identity of Vietnam’s South Central Coast.

On the first day, students visited Dino Park, where the world of dinosaurs is brought to life through modern technology and AR/VR experiences. In the afternoon, they explored the Pink Sand Dunes of Mũi Né, observed the area’s unique terrain, and joined outdoor physical activities. The day ended with a campfire night, creating a warm space for bonding and sharing.

On the second day, students visited the Poshanu Cham Towers, an ancient architectural site rich in Champa cultural heritage. The journey continued to Duc Thanh School and the Ho Chi Minh Museum, where students learned about meaningful historical values, patriotism, and the importance of preserving national traditions. In the afternoon, they joined a team building program, “The Story of Sand”, combining physical activities with exploration of the role of sand in nature and daily life. The evening concluded with a lively Gathering Night, where students showcased creativity and team spirit.

On the final day, students visited the Fish Sauce Museum, exploring the traditional craft of fish sauce making, a distinctive element of Vietnamese culinary culture. The trip concluded as the students returned to Ho Chi Minh City, bringing home many meaningful memories.
