Experiential learning is an essential part of the VAS curriculum. With every trip, students not only gain new knowledge but also build adaptability and strengthen their connection to the community.

This 4-day, 3-night field trip took VASers to Vinh Hy, a region known for its untouched nature, vibrant culture, and rich biodiversity. Right from the first day, students kicked off their “On The Map” learning project, recording their journey and sharing their experiences on social media. Their first stop was Hamu Craok pottery village, where they listened to stories from local artisans and crafted their own pottery pieces. That evening, the group enjoyed a campfire night and a traditional “Bài chòi” folk performance.

On the second day, students ventured into Nui Chua National Park, a UNESCO biosphere reserve with a rare mix of forest, sea, and semi-desert landscapes. They explored Hang Rai – a million-year-old fossilized coral reef – and learned about local efforts to protect sea turtles. The journey continued in Vinh Hy Bay, where students went on a glass-bottom boat ride and took part in a snorkeling activity to admire the colorful coral reefs. In the evening, they visited the Cham Panduranga community, learning traditional dances and taking part in the “Betel Tray Offering” – a unique cultural ritual of the Cham people.

On the third day, the group visited Ninh Thuan Museum and Po Klong Garai Towers, a historical architectural site from the ancient Champa kingdom. In the afternoon, students joined a teambuilding session themed “Change begins with fun!”, combining physical activities with learning about the Nghinh Ong Nam Hai Festival. The day ended with a festive Gala Dinner, where students showcased their talents and shared reflections on the trip.
