Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) Warning About Fraudulent Recruitment Information

Recently, a new form of scam has been spreading across the internet and social media platforms. Scammers are impersonating reputable corporations and businesses to post fraudulent recruitment advertisements.

Notably, these scammers use the official contact details of these businesses, making it difficult for applicants to detect the fraud. They then conduct "online" interviews and require many applicants to deposit money or click on suspicious links to download applications.

To help applicants stay vigilant and avoid falling for scams, VAS would like to outline the legitimate recruitment practices we follow:

Identifying Fraudulent Recruitment Information:

1.No Recruitment Fees: VAS does not charge any fees for recruitment. The school does not collect any  training fees, entrance fees, or require the opening of any e-wallets or accounts during the recruitment process.

2.Official Recruitment Channels: VAS recruitment information is posted on its official communication channels, including:

3.Interview Formats:

  • Face-to-face interviews are prioritised.
  • Overseas candidates will always be interviewed by a VAS HR colleague and/or a VAS Hiring Manager via Microsoft Teams/Zoom.

4.Official Recruitment Email: Emails from official VAS representatives always end with: @vas.edu.vn.

Handling Suspicious Recruitment Information:

1.Do Not Transfer Money: Never transfer money or pay any fees to fake recruiters.

2.Do Not Share or Interact: Do not share, like, or tag friends in posts that show signs of scams.

3.Report: Report suspicious recruitment posts to platform administrators.
