What Has VAS Prepared for the Teaching Staff Before Welcoming Nearly 8,000 Students Back to School?
Beyond upgrading facilities and learning environments, VAS has also invested in professional development for Cambridge and MOET teaching staff. Throughout July and August, the 2026-2027 Induction Programme was delivered across all six VAS campuses, bringing together over 1,000 Cambridge and MOET teachers.
VAS’s CEO speaks at the training session
This annual programme, together with a range of in-depth professional development activities throughout the school year, aims to continuously equip teachers with up-to-date knowledge, skills and modern educational tools to enhance the quality of teaching and students’ learning experiences.
The induction programme focused on four key areas:
- Strengthening professional expertise: Updating curriculum knowledge, exploring modern teaching methods and developing student-centred learning experiences.
- Driving digital transformation: Building digital competencies, making effective use of educational platforms and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching and learning.
- Building a safe and happy learning environment: Developing knowledge of Safeguarding, student wellbeing and educational practices that support students’ holistic development.
- Fostering a professional learning community: Connecting, sharing experiences and learning from VAS academic leaders, education experts, guest speakers and professional representatives.
The training sessions cover diverse content, revolving around four key areas
Alongside the core training programme, teachers also participated in professional development activities tailored to different school levels, subjects and campuses, strengthening the sharing of best practices and ensuring consistency in educational direction across the VAS system.
The training programme may have come to an end, but the journey of learning and innovation continues. With thorough preparation and a commitment to continuous growth, the VAS teaching team is ready to welcome students back for the 2026-2027 school year and create meaningful learning experiences for every student.
