Tran Xuan Lam, a Grade 7H4 student at the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) – Hoang Van Thu campus, has won the Gold Medal in the Orchestra category, one of the most challenging divisions at the Crescendo International Music Festival & Competition 2025.
The Crescendo competition is recognized as a professional and prestigious platform for young musical talents, offering opportunities to learn, exchange, and demonstrate artistic excellence on the international stage. Organized by the Vecchi-Tonelli Conservatory of Modena in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture, this year’s event was supported by renowned music foundations including the Pavarotti Foundation (Italy) and the Kabalevsky Foundation (Russia). It brought together more than 800 participants from countries such as Austria, France, South Korea, Australia, and Brunei.
With strong talent and technical ability, Lam impressed a jury of over 50 distinguished music experts from Vietnam and abroad. He also had the honor of working with Maestro Dustin Tieu of the Imagine Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO), an invaluable experience that enabled him to demonstrate his musical interpretation and ensemble skills at an advanced level.
