VAS continues to be entrusted by Cambridge on hosting the Annual Cambridge International Programme Training

Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) hosted a standardized training programme for teachers of qualifications from Cambridge International Examinations from August 2nd to August 10th, 2017 at Garden Hills Mega Campus. The training was organized by Cambridge International Examinations. There were participating 131 teachers of Cambridge qualifications, from Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and Laos, including of 67 teachers from VAS.

This is the 5th year Vietnam Australia International School has been consecutively entrusted by Cambridge to host training courses on knowledge and teaching methods of the Cambridge curriculum since the school year 2013-2014. The training objective is to address the specific content of curriculum structure, syllabuses, teaching ideas and approaches, progression tests and exams, as well as the resources endorsed by Cambridge to support teaching, etc. In addition, Cambridge also organized Extension Training sessions to review and evaluate the practices on teaching of Cambridge teachers.

Mr. Melvyn Lim, Cambridge's Country Manager, in charge of Vietnam and Myanmar, shared: " Cambridge International Schools offering dual-curriculum always require their schools and teachers to be well-prepared, regularly exchanges ideas and attend conferences and training to progressively improve teaching and learning in school. Teachers should also be provided opportunities to review, research and develop more effective ways to engaging students to learn to prepare for higher education or work in the future."
