VAS & Fuhua, Singapore – Cultural Exchange Program
On September 13, primary school students at Ba Thang Hai Campus met with students from Fuhua School, Singapore. The meeting was attended by the principals, teachers and students of both schools. During the visit, 32 students and 5 teachers of Fuhua had a memorable exchange with VAS.
Founded in the 1940s, Fuhua Primary School has had a long history and is now one of the leading schools in the application of information technologies (ICT) in teaching and learning in Singapore.
The two principals shared some perspectives on education and international integration to help students develop comprehensively. Mr. Low Kah Shen - Fuhua Principal said: "We visit Vietnam this time in the hope that our children will experience the profound educational culture of your country. We have noticed that VAS students have very good English proficiency."
At the meeting, in addition to distinctive music performances and presentations to introduce VAS to their international peers, VAS students also showed Fuhua students around Ba Thang Hai campus and played games with them. Besides, Fuhua students also showed an award-winning film in their Film Club Project and exchanged gifts with VAS students.
The meeting finally came to an end and Fuhua students and teachers left with an impression about the dynamism and confidence of VAS students. They also invite VAS students to visit Fuhua School in the near future.
Cultural exchange is a frequent extracurricular activity at VAS to introduce students to different cultures, international friends and also new knowledge in teaching and learning. Thanks to such events, VAS students realize that they have sufficient knowledge and ability to learn and explore the world around them in a most dynamic way.
