VASers’ community project “Enlightening Knowledge” season 5 got into the Youth Initial Contest 2022 final round

After 4 days of learning and exchanging implementation experiences, our “Enlightening Knowledge Season 5” project, which received significant attention from other teams, was awarded “The TOP 30 best projects nationwide in 2022” and entered the final round of the Youth Contest for Innovation and Socially Equitable Energy Transition. This contest is a part of the Green Youth Labs project implemented by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Institute Vietnam (this project is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) programme organised and sponsored by the Germany Ministry of Environment and Conservation Nature and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

Student Nhat Tien shared: ““Travel broadens the mind”, I realise that the knowledge I learn from school and teachers is not enough. When we step out from school and join the society, we will certainly acquire a lot of new knowledge and enrich ourselves. The past few days for me have passed quite quickly, perhaps because I have really enjoyed each lesson and lecture that GYL offered us. They have helped me understand my project better and especially shared us valuable “tips” to further develop our project. “Enlightening Knowledge” has completed its formative phase and what I will focus on in the coming time is maintaining and expanding the project through communication activities.”

Student Minh Khue also shared that: “After 4 days in Hanoi where we had the chance to meet with many like-minded young people who all wanted to contribute in the conversion of fossil energy to green energy, this journey has finally come to an end. We were very fortunate to be one of the 30 projects selected to participate in the discussion on energy transformation. There, we have seen the talent of many young people who will certainly have great influences on the future of the world. We also learned a lot about how to run an organization, ways to attract the target audience and how to work with stakeholders. After this trip, as 2 members of our project’s management team, we can confidently say that we can run the 5th season in the best way. We believe that the values we have learned there are worthy and look forward to many more opportunities opening up for us in the future.”

VAS is very proud of you both and hopes that the group can learn and achieve more in the future!
