Preventing fires
|
- Turn off electricity and gas equipment when not in use
- Regularly remove burning incense remainders out of censers
- Open doors when there is the smell of gas (if it is dark inside, use a flashlight, do not use electricity oil lamp/ gas lighters / matches)
|
- Let children be in touch with fire without adults’ supervision like cooking, burning candles (lanterns, birthday cake, etc.), playing with fire near inflammable devices / areas (cars, gas stations, gas tanks, etc.)
- Store gasoline, oil inside
- Lighting incenses in a closed room
- Plug hot devices into a power outlet
- Throw burning objects into a trash bin
- Use an oil lamp or turn on the power switch when there is a gas leak inside (use a flashlight instead)

When in a fire
|
- Call out loud to ask for help (adult family members, security guards, neighbors)
- Turn on fire alarms
- Escape from the fire
- Avoid choking on smoke by using a wet cloth to cover your nose and mouth
- Call 114 (Desk phone)

- Put the fire out on one’s own
- Use the elevator
- Jump off from floors
- Return to look for valuables
|
Processing burnts
|
- Remove the victims out of the fire
- Cool the damaged skin with clean water
- If the wound is minor: dress it with clean gauze to prevent infection
- If the wound is severe: cover it with a large wet towel
- Call out loud for help from adults or call 115 with a desk phone
- Go to the nearest hospital or clinic
|
- Take off clothes that cover the wounds (not to rip them)
|
Saving people
|
- Call out loud intermittently, one after another one minute
- Call in 1 to 3 words each time (e.g. ‘Fire!’ or ‘Help!’ or ‘Please help me!’)
