Workshop on preparing for students’ confidence in the new school year

At the seminars, Doctor of Psychology Nguyen Thi Bich Hong – Head of Psychology Faculty, HCMC University of Pedagogy, said: “For preschool 3 students, primary school plays a pivotal role in their ability to acquire knowledge and develop personality throughout their future learning process. And for fifth graders preparing for secondary school, they start to experience significant psychological and physical changes. They need to be more active in learning and they have to learn new subjects involved in logic and reasoning. Therefore, parents need to patiently observe and support their children.”

Representatives from the Academic Board of VAS also provided useful information about how to learn the Cambridge Primary and Secondary programmes so that parents could collaborate with the school to help their children in learning. The integrated curricula at VAS help students develop holistically not only background knowledge and creative thinking, but also life skills and adaption to fast changes in society.
