VAS Painting Exhibition and Prize Award Ceremony - Meaningful Colors
On the morning of January 13th, 2018, the Vietnam Australia International School held the VAS Painting Exhibition and Prize Award Ceremony for the VAS Painting Contest 2017 at Garden Hills campus. Participants at the event included VAS students, parents and teachers from 6 elementary and secondary campuses. Each painting was a lively piece of a puzzle, altogether making up a colorful picture.
With the theme "Lead your life", the VAS Painting Contest 2017 was a wonderful playground for creativity and imagination for the elementary and secondary students, which aims at developing their talent of painting and, through the pictures, inspiring them to reach for the dream, “Lead your life”.
Two months after the launch, the contest attracted nearly 600 artists from VAS. 26 of the best pieces of artwork were then selected for award winning prizes which included, 1 First place prize, 2 Second place prizes, 2 Third place prizes, 20 Consolation prizes and 12 sub-awards for Calendar paintings.
At the ceremony, besides rewarding the talented artists from all grades, the organizers also selected 68 paintings for display in the exhibition. Each of the student’s works were characterized by their very own styles, rich in content, creative in layout, and lively in color.
For the message "Lead your life" to be more meaningful and spread to all students, VAS organized a charity auction to sell the paintings to help children with difficult living conditions. This auction received enthusiastic responses from both the parents and students gaining a total of 36 million VND for charity.
