The warm and colorful Christmas at VAS
1.“Partageons Noel” (Sharing the Holy Night) – Music concert of love
“Partageons Noel” (Sharing the Holy Night) taking place on December 18 is the name of a music concert organized by the Community Project HP91 - Give Wings To Your Dreams, Sala campus. The concert is to raise funds to support people in need in Central Region and Ben Tre province, and at the same time to bring a cozy concert to VASers when Christmas is approaching.
Participating and performing at the concert are VASers of grades 5-11 together with their teachers and parents from the whole VAS system. These performances, from the gentle and lyrical winter melodies to the explosive and vibrant atmosphere, which brought lots of positive emotions and energy to the stage, were shown by the young artists,. We hope the performances, loving wishes, and meaningful messages of the night touched the feeling of the audience.
The project is planned to take place in two phases: Phase 1: from 05/01/2021 to 10/01/2021 (supporting local residents and students in Le Thuy - Quang Binh province) and phase 2: from 20/05/2021 to 25/05/2021 (supporting local people and students in Ba Tri - Ben Tre province).
2. To give is to receive
VAS students of Ba Thang Hai all welcomed the Christmas 2020 season with meaningful volunteering activities. They launched a gift collection programme for disadvantaged children and wrapped the gifts, wrote letters by themselves with many warm and loving messages from the depth of their hearts.
After more than a week of careful preparation, primary students of Ba Thang Hai gave these gifts to the disadvantaged children at Thien Duyen Shelter (Cu Chi) and Little Rose Shelter (District 7).
"To give is to receive" - The students of VAS Ba Thang Hai probably had a full understanding of that statement when they saw the little friends rushing to welcome them and looked at their happy, playful eyes while chatting with them at the shelters.
Through this meaningful and respectful volunteering activities, the VAS students of Ba Thang Hai campus have an opportunity to build a spirit of mutual love and to help the disadvantaged in the society.
3. Cozy and exciting Christmas
At Riverside campus, Christmas was not only a festival filled with the typical colors of Christmas but also a great place ground with countless team games for Riverside Junior Kindergartens to participate in, to strengthen solidarity and develop their communication skills. The fun experiences with friends, teachers, and the gentle Santa Claus will be an unforgettable childhood memory for these students. The secondary student's Christmas activities were organized by stations where the players receive puzzle pieces to make the final products. Among of the challenges, some group members were named "Reindeer" and their own duties were secretly assigned. The students overcame the challenges by completing given tasks. They won the games in excitement.
Meanwhile, Garden Hills, Phan Xich Long, Sunrise, and Hoang Van Thu campuses brought joy to the students by the time Santa Claus with a gift bag suddenly appeared and knocked on the doors of each classroom, delivered lovely gifts to students and said ‘Merry Christmas’. In addition, the Preschool and Primary children showed their great interest in lovely Christmas-themed outfits and became extremely excited when participating in fun games. The secondary students were very enthusiastic about the pine tree decoration activities, collective photo contest and Christmas music show.
Love and warmth filled the whole class with wishes, joy, and laughters. Hope VASers all had a merry and happy Christmas with their families, friends, and beloved ones.
