A successful year of VAS students
At the end of May 2017, Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) held the end-of-year ceremony 2016-2017 to commemorate the vigorous efforts of all the students from Kindergarten to High school. During the school year, there were 903 VAS students who achieved high results in both academic and talent competitions from city to nation-wide and international level, which is a 33% increase over last year. This outstanding improvement again proves the quality of teaching and training at VAS.
The quality of VAS training is confirmed through the students’ outcomes
Currently VAS has more than 6300 students studying in 7 campuses in Ho Chi Minh City. The success of an educational institution is best confirmed by the student's academic performance and progress over the years.
At the end of the school year 2016-2017, in the National program, there were 903 students achieving high results in International Mathematics, English Champion, Olympic English, Violympic Mathematics and Physics on the Internet, TOEFL Junior, Scientific research, Scientific theory and practical knowledge, the World Scholar's Cup, and other subjects, issued by the Department and the Ministry of Education and Training at all levels. At primary level, VAS students received 588 prizes, and secondary level received 315 prizes, including 9 international prizes, 41 national prizes and 107 city prizes.
In the MOET program, VAS has 903 students who won the high prizes at county, city, national and international competitions.
In the Cambridge International Education Program, VAS students have earned their IGCSE certificate in Math, English, Chemistry and ICT, which exceeds the average score of Cambridge International students. Moreover, in Math and ICT, they exceeded by 13% and 11% respectively of the world’s average score. In particular, Dinh Nam Anh and Vuong Cung Quang have won the "Top in Vietnam" award in General Science – 9th grade and English as Second Language – 10th grade. At elementary and high school, there were 871 students in grades 1 through 8 achieving three and four “gold” grades in English, Math, Science and Information Communication and Technology (ICT).
VAS is well-recognized by prestigious universities over the world
VAS is proud of the graduates who are considered as valuable assets from many prestigious universities in the world. Among them, Tran Nguyen Quynh Huong, 12H2, Hoang Van Thu campus has won the 4-year scholarship of Loyola University- Illinois. Other universities include, Albright College, Case Westerri Reserve Uni, Illinois Wesleyan University, New England College, Mount Holyoke College, and Hollins University, Temple University. Among these, the most high-valued scholarship is up to 180,224USD.
At the End-of-year ceremony, Tran Phuong Kim Ngan, one of the 12th graders who was offered full scholarships from several US and UK universities, said: "The VAS teachers have helped us discover the passions that we have been yet to find and now we become very confident in the future we have chosen. The school not only helps us capture knowledge but also teaches us how to treat others through 7 Core Values. Thanks to the soft skills gained in public speaking as well as the patience during challenging projects, we, the senior students are ready to dive into the big world out there and conquer the bigger challenges at higher education levels."

Vietnam Australia International School has the honor to be awarded the Certificate of Education Quality Level 3 for Primary, Junior High School and Senior High School by Ho Chi Minh’s Department of Education and Training. The accreditation to confirm the quality of education is based on five criteria including: Organization and management of the school; Management team, teachers, staffs and students; Facilities and teaching aids; Relationships between the school, the families and the society; and finally, educational activities and its outcomes.
