A Christmas season of Love: Gifts handed out to the disadvantaged by Project HP91 ‘Wings of Dreams’ and Project ‘Enlighten your knowledge’

With the desire to bring a warm and happy Christmas to those who are in difficult circumstances, the project HP91 ‘Wings of Dreams’ organized a fundraising concert to help local people in Ben Tre Province and the Central region of Vietnam. Sharing the same purpose, the project ‘Enlighten your knowledge’, also called for donations to support more than 200 overseas Vietnamese children in Cambodia.

On December 18th, at Sala campus, the community project HP91 ‘Wings of Dreams’ held a music show called “Partageons Noel” in order to raise funds to support disadvantaged people in Ben Tre Province and the Central region of Vietnam as well as to bring a cosy concert to VASers at the time when Christmas is approaching. The show really impressed students, parents and teachers from the whole VAS system with its humanity.

The music show, which featured the unique performances of talented VASers from grade 5 to grade 11, brought the audience through the gentle and lyrical winter melody to the explosive and vibrant atmosphere of one of the year’s most anticipated festive seasons.

These performances that were fully expressed with many levels of emotions and positive energy seemed like a blessing of love and peace for a warm Christmas season only for the audience. Hopefully, the meaningful message of "Partageons Noel" has touched the audience's hearts through these performances.

The project ‘HP91 – Wings of Dreams’ established in the school year 2019-2020 with the aim to spread kindness and help people in difficult and less fortunate situations. Witnessing the damage and loss caused by floods, the project’s members wish to support the people in the Central region of Vietnam to overcome these difficulties.

While the Christmas atmosphere was approaching, the project ‘Enlighten your knowledge’ at Hoang Van Thu campus also launched a campaign to call for the community to donate items such as textbooks, notebooks, stationery, toys, clothes which are still usable. The project team would not accept monetary donations in any forms. Those donated items, as meaningful and practical Christmas gifts, then would be given to more than 200 disadvantaged overseas Vietnamese children in Cambodia in Tay Ninh province.

‘Enlighten your knowledge’ is the only project in the Top 3 of VASers For Community contest for three consecutive years. With an effort to bring the positive community values, the project has excellently obtained specific achievements after two years of implementation: producing and giving hundreds of solar table lamps to students in remote areas; planting 1,185 trees in An Giang, Son La, Dak Lak.
