Recap on VAS Ed Talk Ep 1 - More than just sharing, it's a preparation for parents to raise their children better day by day!

Leading throughout the sharing session, our guest speaker - Mr. Nguyen Tien Huy brought a multi-dimensional perspective around the topic of technology in the context of educating and taking care of children. Not stopping with general sharing, Mr. Huy also combined scientific evidence, photos, videos and visual examples to create an interesting workshop.

Let's go through some of his special sharing:

  • Technology has many downsides if children use it for the wrong purposes and in the wrong time, but it can also bring a lot of benefits if children are properly guided, such as improving fine motor skills, stimulating language ability, increasing social interaction and connection.
  • Instead of forbidding children to use electronic devices, parents should prepare their children a healthy "immune system" so that they can distinguish the right and the wrong and adjust their behavior accordingly when participating in the world of technology.
  • Parents should talk more often with children, set specific time and rules for them when using technology, and at the same time becoming a role model for them.

Guest speaker Nguyen Tien Huy and our VAS representatives had many interesting sharing in this workshop

VAS Representative - Ms. Do Thi Minh Chau also had a sincere sharing about the series of practical activities that have been taking place at VAS to promote the advantages and minimize the disadvantages when applying technology to education.

The sharing session came to an end when Mr. Huy and the school representative gave conclusions and practical experiences in the process of raising and accompanying children to master technology. At the same time, the workshop also created an opportunity for parents' concerns and questions to be heard and answered directly by the guest speaker and the school representative.
