VAS kicks off the 3Rs environmental project with Book Collecting Challenge, the REUSE Phase

Along with the goal of "Sustainable Development" that the school launched at the beginning of this school year, the environmental project 3Rs (Reduce - Reuse - Recycle) continues to be carried out at 7 VAS campuses starting today, January 4, 2021. The project is a continuation of the positive achievements that the VAS Community achieved last school year.

The Reuse Phase - The Book Collecting Challenge officially begins with the aim to encourage students to increase recycling in order to extend the lifespan and life cycle of products, contributing to reducing waste and saving natural resources.

In this phase, students from all grade levels will collect books from the previous school years or those which are no longer in use from the first semester of this school year to donate to the organizations or schools in need. Each book that you save and contribute will probably be a friend and a new intellectual horizon for students who are in difficult situations in remote areas or in the countryside and cannot gain access to books and newspapers. Books will truly become valuable when given to those who really need them.

This challenge takes place at 7 VAS’s campuses from January 4 to January 15, 2021. After completing the Reuse phase, VASers will continue the Recycle Phase - The Spring Festival Recycling Competition and the Reduce Phase - Minimize Plastic Waste.

Let's join hands to keep waste minimized and make our earth greener and more beautiful, VASers!
