VAS – Announcement letter regarding the adjusted timetable for make up classes following the guidelines of the MOET and Cambridge, as well as the statement of account

Ho Chi Minh City, May 15th, 2020

Dear Parents,

In the past few weeks, Vietnam Australia International School System (VAS) has had the opportunity to meet, greet and listen to many parents. Our goal is always to listen to your input and feedback in order to find the right solution to the parents’ needs and at the same time ensure a healthy and quality learning environment for our students.

Regarding the timetable for the compensation learning programme, VAS would like to confirm the adjustment plan as follows:

  • For primary school students, the teaching plan  will be implemented in accordance with the notice sent to Parents on May 9, 2020. There will be no extended periods to the normal daily timetable.
  • For the secondary school students, the teaching plan will be implemented in accordance with the notice sent to Parents on May 9, 2020. The number of extended schooling weeks has been reduced following the full week timetable of both MOET and Cambridge.
  • For the students CIP programme, offered under Vietnam International School (VIS), the school year will be shortened by two weeks and end concurrently with the ending of the Cambridge programme, which is 30 June 2020.

The statement of account has been updated to reflect this adjustment and sent to parents.

The above adjustment plan has been developed by the School, following the guideline of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as studying the comments and inputs of parents. The revised timetable was developed to ensure that your child’s curriculum for the year is fully covered and to ensure successful transition to the next grade.

Once again, the VAS Board of Management and all of our staff and teachers would like to thank you for your understanding, which allows us to have time to come up with the most suitable adjustment plans.

On behalf of all of our colleagues at VAS, we wish you and your family health and safety.

Best regards,

VAS Board of Management
