VASer won the Champion Cup of Asia Pacific Art Festival 2023 (APAF)

The renowned Asia Pacific Art Festival 2023 (APAF) which took place in Thai Lan have attracted more than 200 talented candidates from a lot of countries, such as, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and so on.

The person who has won the championship in the festival is Phạm Minh Ngọc, a VASer from class 6.R3, Riverside Campus. She won her cup for the excellent solo performance.

"In the piano performance, I played the piece Arabesque No.1, Op.61 by the composer Cecile Chaminade. For me, this is a difficult piece that requires high technique and careful preparation, readiness in terms of emotion, mind, thought and concentration. My teachers and I see the piece Arabesque No.1, Op.61 as a challenge for myself and I want to conquer it.", Pham Minh Ngoc recounted.

Minh Ngoc also won a silver medal in the SIMOC Maths competition 2023 last summer. SIMOC (Singapore International Mathematical Olympiad Challenge) is a well-known competition (hosted by Singapore International Math Contests Centre) that takes place in August every year.
