Community programme 2021- from post-covid concerns to the heartfelt proposals

Notwithstanding all the struggles, the participating projects this year were still very creative and interesting. The final round of Community Progamme went on excitingly - the online presentation of 23 teams, impressing the judges with their deep and lovely concerns for the community around.

After the exciting final round on 26/04, the judges decided to choose 3 outstanding projects to be funded 100 million VND.

- GOM project – Hoang Van Thu campus: The project calls for individuals and organizations to collect decorative items, "old" clothes but still usable to sell and raise fund to support children in poor areas to have proper meals while going to school far from home so they can continue going to school. Thereby, the group also hopes to create a positive message that spreads and encourages people to build the habit of giving away things they no longer need but can help others.

- SZ Talk project – Garden Hills campus: The plan is organizing talk shows, creating Facebook fanpage, etc. to promote gender education to young people so they know how to protect themselves. This is usually a sensitive topic but SZ Talk will bravely bring it out to the young community.

- “I am more than my body” project – Sunrise campus: The project is organized with the desire to help students be more active in life, face and solve their psychological problems. Through activities like seminar, exhibition and creating a Facebook fanpage, the team hope that the sharing stories can be a source of motivation for those of you who are body shamed, while also warning people who are disparaging others' looks.

Besides, the programme also funds 15 million VND for 5 projects which got consolation prizes in order to motivate the students to complete their ideas in the future.
- “Sunshine through my mind” project – Sunrise campus
- “Dream high” – Riverside campus
- “Home” – Sala campus
- “English Enhancement Club” – Ba Thang Hai campus
- “Relieve your feeling” – Garden Hills campus

The participating projects this year dig more into the social psychological perspectives and actively propose the practical supporting activities. The deep concerns of these students about social issues truly impressed the judges.
The execution plans will be submitted to the Organization Committee as the next step, and the winning teams will receive the fund to implement the projects. The Organization Committee want to send a sincere thanks to all the participants as well as parents and teachers who supported our students in this competition.
