A Touching Debut of the VAS Book Launch - Nurturing Love
"Nurturing Love" is released by VAS’s coordination with the Youth Publishing House. The composition was created as an autograph book carrying the message of love. It includes 51 touching works written by VAS students and teachers under the theme of family, teachers, friends, and school. At the ceremony, the organizer received a lot of sharing thoughts and affection from the young authors along with teachers and parents. Particularly, many parents burst into tears when reading the sharing contributions of their children and seeing the first published achievement of their children recorded. That is also one of the greatest desires of the school when implementing this project: Together telling stories, sharing dreams and sending the words of love.
The VAS Book "Nurturing Love" is the first project to be implemented in order to create a culture-enhancing activity and encourage the inspired writing of students and their teachers about their family and the gratitude towards parents and grandparents, towards their teachers and lastly, the memories of both teachers and students in Vietnam Australian International School. The project had received nearly 300 compositions, and the works published in this book were selected from the best ones. The book includes 5 topics: The Cradle of Love, School-hood, My Dear Friend, Do You Remember? Let Me Dream, and The Respectful Ferryman.
Stories from real life have transformed themselves into written composition. Every article is a true, soulful and dreamy story and all constitute an endless sentiment. Each story is shared in many different tones of the soul: joyful, sympathetic, understanding, nostalgic and self-reflected.
And the most important are the heartfelt words of love, which VAS students and their teachers dedicated to their loved ones from this hustle-bustle life in which we live.
In order to deliver the message "Nurturing Love" in its full meaning, our school has decided to sell these books for the purpose of charity. The collected proceeds will be contributed to the VAS Charity Fund and then donated accordingly to support for the children of Vietnam who are less fortunate.
