VAS organizes a professional training workshop for Cambridge International Secondary School program
From March 10 to 13, 2014, at Sunrise Mega Campus of Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) at Him Lam Residential Area, Tan Hung Ward, District 7 - VAS in collaboration with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) organized a professional training program for Cambridge International Secondary School - Introductory/Intermediate Cambridge Secondary 1 and IGCSE in Southeast Asia lead by professional trainers from CIE, the United Kingdom.
VAS is committed to quality education, efficient and supportive administration, as well as its international standing to provide an excellent platform for our students’ transition of education. During the course, teachers are provided the overview of syllabus design and examination, detailed knowledge of examination; introduction to Cambridge resources, ICT and curriculum resources and a forum to share good practice. The teachers also learn the overview of different teaching methods and strategies applied to the syllabus, discussions on formative and summative assessment as well as revision strategies for candidates. Interactive activities include: creating schemes of work and lesson plans, marking exercises activities relating to standards as well as a practical laboratory session.
After the training, participants will receive the Certificate of Participation by the Cambridge International Examinations for completion the Professional Development Course: Cambridge Secondary 1 or Introductory/Intermediate Cambridge IGCSE. The core subjects for this training at Cambridge are English, Maths and Coordinated Science:
