Official kick-off of 3Rs Project 2022 – VASers’ action for environmental sustainability

“Action for the environment” is one of the lessons VASers are educated and inspired in their “journey to well-being”. It is not necessary to do great things. A good starting point can be the small actions we take every day, which can make the difference, then these actions become habits in daily life. This is the message of the 3Rs Project (REDUCE – REUSE – RECYCLE) – the annual environmental programme of VAS.

Since its first season in 2019, the 3Rs project has become a VAS's signature environmental programme which attracts significant participation and support from students throughout the whole VAS system with many creative and meaningful ideas for the environmental sustainability.

After a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic, 3Rs Project officially resumes to foster action for the environment of VASers.

With many meaningful competition activities among grades and classes, the 3-phase project including Reduce - Reuse – Recycle encourages VAS community to change small habits in daily life, to actively reduce the amount of trash they throw away, especially plastic and harmful waste to the environment as well as adopting innovative solutions to increase reuse and recycling.

Participating in the project, VASers not only help to raise community awareness and call for action to protect the environment but also contribute positive and practical values towards sustainable development, thereby demonstrating the concern and responsibility of a global citizen towards the environment and the Earth.
