Head of Cambridge Kindergarten and Primary Programme
Mr. Robert has been working for VAS for 5 years. He started his first role as a teacher of grade 1 and grade 5 and now is the Head of Cambridge Kindergarten and Primary Programme. Mr. Robert understands that every child is born as a unique individual, needs to be tempered and honed in a suitable environment where they can explore and develop to their maximum potential.
“It is my belief that a teacher is morally obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest expectations for himself and his students, which are to maximize the positive experience. And with perseverance, dedication, and hard work, we encourage all our students to be the best they can be.” – Mr. Robert shared.
Grade 1 Teacher
With 10 years of pondering, 10 years of dedicating, Miss Duong Thi Tham would like to bring love and sympathy, foster passion for learning and creative inspiration for many generations of primary students. Ms. Tham has become a mother who deeply empathizes and acknowledges her students’ difficulties. She approaches them calmly and gently, along with arousing their confidence on their distinct values.
Parents whose children are preparing for Grade One often have lots of worries:How can they quickly overcome the feeling of unfamiliarity during the first days of Grade One and become confident and happy when going to school?Their ability to focus and learning skills are not yet proficient; how can we help our children practice this habit and passion for learning and maintain their interest in discovering new things?...

Please listen to Ms. Vu Thi Hanh – Grade One teacher at Ba Thang Hai campus, about how First grade teachers at VAS build a solid foundation for the children’s future by perseverance and love right from the very first grade in their life!
Kindergarten Teacher Ho Chi Minh City College of Education | Preschool Education
Most of my students are preschoolers. Because students are first exposed to the studying environment, they often cry a lot. But for me, as long as I show them all my affection and caring to let them feel safe, they will love going to school.

Parents who send children to VAS must have confidence in the school and its teachers. I hope that parents could spend more time with their children, talk to their children, and discuss with teachers regularly so that teachers can better understand their children's behaviors at home because the students may behave differently at home and school. I believe that close communication between parents and teachers will benefit children's education.
Secondary Teacher | EnglishCambridge International Programme
I used to teach in the UK for two years. I see differences in students from different countries. Vietnamese students, especially VAS students, are very active in learning, participate more in extracurricular activities, and are more interested in discovering new things. As a teacher, it is a great opportunity for me to help my students get more excited about learning.

I feel that VAS is a friendly working environment, where there is always a harmonious bond between teachers and students, solidarity between teachers.
I think the Cambridge International Programme is a good preparation for students to study abroad. The Cambridge programme is completely different from the MOET programme, which helps children develop reasoning skills, logical thinking, and writing skills, in particular, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, establishing rigorously and theoretically arguments.
Every day with students is a surprise to me. Teaching kindergarten students is a wonderful thing when I can easily see their daily progress. We create the best conditions for students to learn English in all activities. I try to stay after school to talk to parents about their children's performance and to work together to help children feel comfortable in school.
Secondary Teacher | History
Most of the students do not love the history subject, this is the obstacle and also my biggest concern when entering to teach at VAS. Therefore, I always learn from my colleagues' experiences and self-study to renovate teaching methods and forms of testing and evaluation. In the class, I tell stories to students, let them play historical games, visit monuments, play-act ..., and I was amazed at VAS students' ability to create and occupy knowledge.
Talent Teacher | Music
Each child has a unique gift, but to discover and develop them, we must explore, discover and foster their talents every day and hour. In my classes, I instruct and help them sing at the correct pitch, voice quality and when singing, they must show their best to integrate into that article.

As biology is the subject of life, I always associate theoretical knowledge with everyday practice to inspire students. Children will feel that the lessons are close to their daily life, thus developing excitement to learn.
